Outreach Counsellor, Violence Against Women Prevention Program — Full Time Permanent


Manitoulin Family Resources requires one full-time Outreach Counsellor, in the Violence Against Women Prevention program to support women in their recovery from violence and/or abuse. Working with women both in community and in the emergency VAW shelter, the Counsellor offers flexible, supportive client services. Maintenance of client records and statistical data capture is required, as is the promotion of agency services and providing public education.

Child Care Workers — 2 Full Time, Permanent Positions Childrens Services


Manitoulin Family Resources requires 2 full-time Child-Care Workers. These positions will be working with children from infant to school age. The positions will be based out of the Central Manitoulin Public School location and the Little Current Child Care Centre location.

Frontline Shelter Worker — Casual


Manitoulin Family Resources requires 1 casual Frontline Shelter Worker to support women and children in our emergency residence/shelter program. The Frontline Shelter Worker provides supportive counselling, crisis intervention, and advocacy to women and children residing at the shelter, as well as telephone counselling and support through crisis line coverage. As a single-staff model of operation in a residential environment, responsibilities pertaining to health and safety in a fast-paced atmosphere and household duties such as cooking and cleaning are required in addition to the provision of individual counselling, in-house client workshops, safety assessments, and navigation to other services.
